So the question is really not being answered.
Maybe I’m not understanding your question. You asked why recasts sell for a fraction of the real statue cost correct? The answer is because the recasters know they need to sell for less than the market rate of the real statue if they want to be able to sell it.

I think the point I’m trying to make is Their Labor cost have very little to do with the way they price these products.

When labor costs go up, the factories don’t want to lose profit from before. They want to make up for it and as a business, they want as much or more money than before. They know everyone has to go to China for manufacturing so they control that aspect. However, that’s also why you are starting to see some manufacturing done in places that have an even lower standard of living like Vietnam or India.

As stated, China wants to live like a first world country now. People there want to be able to afford a car. They want air conditioning. They want to be able to eat out at restaurants. They want to take vacations like they see other people do on social media. All that means increased labor costs and in turn, increased manufacturing costs to companies like Sideshow which then gets passed onto us, the buyers.

Ok that’s a lot of fluff. I wrote college papers too, but Let’s get to the meat and potatoes.
Kiss End Of The Road shirts are going for $100.00 and breaking record merchandise sales.
Probably takes $5 to make if that.

Factory costs have affected every company out there. I'm not saying Sideshow doesn't raise prices just for the sake of profit, because they've been doing that years, but the drastic increases over the last year have been across several companies. That's where the labor costs factor in.

I’m taking a different approach.
If this Juggernaut is not $1699.99 I’m not buying it.

It better not be $1699. I'll be so damn disappointed if that happens.

I really hope that the price of this Maquette will be reasonable and
affordable as possible.
I do believe factory workers should earn a fair wage and I do not mind Sideshow making a profit one bit.
I just hope that as many fans and collectors as possible will be able to add this maquette to their collection.

For me this is an essential piece for my collection and I will do whatever I can to buy it once it's released.
Hopefully my wallet and bank account will not take too much of a hit!
