When labor costs go up, the factories don’t want to lose profit from before. They want to make up for it and as a business, they want as much or more money than before. They know everyone has to go to China for manufacturing so they control that aspect. However, that’s also why you are starting to see some manufacturing done in places that have an even lower standard of living like Vietnam or India.
As stated, China wants to live like a first world country now. People there want to be able to afford a car. They want air conditioning. They want to be able to eat out at restaurants. They want to take vacations like they see other people do on social media. All that means increased labor costs and in turn, increased manufacturing costs to companies like Sideshow which then gets passed onto us, the buyers.
