From his post a few months/weeks back, he said he'll still be working with Kotobukiya for a few more years. I don't know if there has been any changes with their contract since, but I'm certain that's what he said.

I strongly support the claim for a sabertooth statue by Koto, such as Juggernaut and the Hulk. Wouldn't that be great?!

I am sure that he will continue working with them. Kotobukiya has no reason to let him go. Erick put the Fine Art Statue Line on the map and Koto has benefited substantially from his art. It makes financial sense to keep him for awhile.
With that being said, it is important to point out that Erick is a freelance artist and he is always available for new projects. He does not only sculpts for Koto and XM, but he also dedicates time to his company PrototypeZ. Besides being one of the most prodigious artist of recent times, he is a phenomenal multi tasker. He even sell tamales & champurrado on the weekends! Lol

I wish i could say there was an update, but so far haven't heard anything rock solid from Erick or kotobukiya yet.
Gonk said "anything was possible" when asked if sabertooth was going to be made.
And Erick did say" new one", but nothing concrete.
