Love the sculpt and all the detailing, but the base and the price are just too much. If they offered the statue with a simple base like in the 5th picture I could be interested.

Didn't realise that, I wonder what their reasoning behind this is and why not just have a swappable head like the previous poster stated...

Well if someone wants to sell their SSJ hold me up

I'm a huge DBZ fan, it's my favorite anime of all time. Yet I don't own any statue of it. Why? Because most of them are just to overblown with either lightning and energy effects sticking out from everywhere. Plus most of them are too pricey imo, especially if you have to import into or buy in the EU. There are some exceptions, like the 1/4 Trunks from Infinity which is pretty nice and the P1 Goku is just gorgeous and the best (official) DBZ statue of all time, especially with SSJ3 head.

I wish some company would either do simple 1/6 (or 1/4 if necessary) statues with minimal bases, minimal to zero energy effects and musuem or simple fighting pose and/or 1/3 busts of all the (main) characters.

I disagree with most of the posters here. I prefer a 1/4 or 1/3 statue with all the LED effects. I'm considering getting this DBZ statue. I watched the DBZ Freezer saga with my father as a teenager when you could watch it for free in youtube. The only complain I have is the two statues of Goku. Buyers of this statue are buying two statues of Goku, which is obviously done to pat their profits and sell you more. This statue would be more appealing if Tsume were to sell two version one with super saiyan and the other non super saiyen to reduce the the cost by several hundred dollars. Had Tsume done that, then the cost would be closer to 1k or less. I don't really have space to show of both nor would I want to show off both if I had the space. I need all the space I can save for other statue IPs.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

1400 usd for a 1/4 generic looking goku? Those guys must be out of their freaking mind, I can buy a better looking and better made 1/4 goku for 30% of the cost from smaller custom studios

Completely agree, I absolutely despise those horrendous plastic effects that are all over the Tsume / Prime1 DBZ stuff, and their insane price.

I started building my line up based off the original silent wrath goku from Tsume, all without effects in 1/6, took me over 2 years to get those and still missing a few key characters.

You can also get the *full set* from infinity symbol studio in first photo. I think you will like if want museum poses, at 1/4 or 1/6 in 1 go, for about the same price as this single tsume goku, no ugly effects! Quality is same or better than Tsume. But I tend to like to pick the sculpt I like best from different brands to mix it up, kurillin is from infinity rest all different brands. 1/6 goes for $100-$250 a pop, 1/4 $200-$350 a pop

1/4 goku for $1400
