Film From Studio Acquired by Walt Disney Finally Beats Film From Studio Acquired by Walt Disney for Box Office Record - Gizmodo 22 July, 2019

Various sites are now reporting Avengers Endgame as the highest grossing worldwide box office movie of all-time (not adjusted for inflation). Timed perfectly for Marvel's SDCC presentation at Hall H. Coincidence? I'd like to think not.

Box office mojo should have the new numbers up by mid day tomorrow. A roller coaster ride of "impossible", "almost certain", "won't happen", "it has a chance" and "too close to call".

"A huge congratulations to the Marvel Studios and Walt Disney Studios teams, and thank you to the fans around the world who lifted ‘Avengers: Endgame’ to these historic heights.Of course, even with the passage of a decade, the impact of James Cameron’s Avatar remains as powerful as ever, and the astonishing achievements of both of these films are ongoing proof of the power of movies to move people and bring them together in a shared experience. The talented filmmakers behind these worlds have much more in store, and we look forward to the future of both the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Pandora." - Disney co-chairman and chief creative officer Alan Horn

Big question now is how long will Endgame hold. 5 years? 10? 20? More?

Extra sweet that a super hero movie beat it, Cameron's dissing of the genre was repugnant and considering he wants to make more space Smurf films I find it laughable.
