Sorry for bumping a thread that has been dead for 2 years, but both of these busts are still available. All in all, what is the consensus? I watched some Youtube reviews, and the Scorpion looks ok. The Sub looks okay, but with somewhat flat skin tone and the mask scratches just don't look anywhere near as good as the proto.

I think they're great pieces. Buddy of mine has both and they still look really good. If having MK busts is important to you than it's a no brainer and I can assure you'd be happy with them (especially at the discounted price).

Seems like sideshow is struggling to sell off PCS stuff...

That, and it's MK which as a franchise is on life support even with crossovers with DC. No one really cares about MK except the narrow demographic from the arcade era. Collectors are an even smaller slice of that.

I assume you mean when it comes to statues because MKX was the biggest selling game of the franchise and 1 of the best selling games of 2015...it's not on life support at all.

If they had just done 1 line for MK in the first place and not tried to play catch up to the games, not taken forever to get those Klassic Ninjas out and repeated the same ---- with the 1:3 ninjas and a WHOLE bunch of other PCS reasons then it would be doing fine....but then you could say that about any PCS line at this point lol.

I'd love for Prime 1 to get their hands on it and do some real decent pieces.

Well for one I am glad if MKX is doing well commercially, but I feel the franchise needs to take its lore more seriously, develop the characters in other media. Since fatalaties are part of the game, subsequent titles can be multiverse reboots with new story arcs, like they do in comics. They can easily beat SF since Capcom is not too interested in developing its characters anymore.

On the other hand, yes, PCS screwed up big time. MK deserves another chance in the right hands.

I wonder if P1 can do MK through its Injustice license?
