One of my biggest pet peeves with statue designs is when they incorporate a backdrop. It makes them feel 2D. If people can't view the back of their statue then it might not bother them but I can so it does.

No way. The revealed SS portrait is way better than this custom. We havent seen the EX yet, the design for the custom is a little wierd, and his posture isn't normal. Stand or lay that way. Balls. It's not a typical stance nor comfortable.
But seriously, he has a whole hand to stand more naturally on.
The custom is very nice. Magneto and the scene looks amazing. Beautiful paint and detail.
Sideshow Mags makes sense and imo looks great too.
I'd say SS is better.
Sideshow Magneto is the best non custom 1:4 Magneto out right now.
Yes, there is room for improvement. But it is still badace.
