The director was just speaking on campus here not too long ago and was talking about how it was a different experience making the second one for such a loyal cult-ish fan base as opposed to the first one where he didn't knwo if there would BE any fans. He was so excited to have the entire cast back for the second film too. Sucks to hear it is a stinker!
i dont think it was a stinker...no where near the first one but an enjoyable flick

universal soldier: Regeneration 7/10 Fun flick for what it was. The last twenty minutes or so kicked ass.

Cop-Out 2/10 Felt like an unfunny SNL skit that just kept going.

I saw the trailer for this today, and that was enough for me . . . Bruce must have some bills to pay ?

Shutter Island - 5/10 - Thought it was fairly predictable, and just not that thrilling. Wouldn't really recommend it.

Spider-Man - 6/10. Just watched an HD version. Originally saw it in theaters and had mixed feelings. Thought the film was too dark during night scenes. HD version seems to be the same. The last swinging scene is one of the coolest comic hero moments. The movie is full of perfect shots. Spider-Man is my favorite comic hero yet the film (and series) doesn't hit that high point that great live action comic movies hit (see Batman, X2, Rocketeer, Iron Man). A missed opportunity to do a truly classic tale with Gwen Stacy and a scary Green Goblin. I don't have much faith in the coming reboot either with the same producers behind it...

Angels & Demons - 7/10. They did enough to break the obvious formula of the book. But they removed a lot of the mystery and discovery of the first film for a ticking time bomb film. Which the book is too but the film is sadly missing that sense of dangerous hidden secrets.

Twilight - 7/10. Decided to see what the hype is about. Not as bad as I thought it was going to be. At times it feels like something that should be on the CW. Other times it shows a lot of thought about the mythology of creatures. Also, it's full of really pretty location shots. It was good enough for me to put the sequels and books on my list.
