Promethus 8/10. Fantastic return to sci-fi for Ridley Scott. Just behind Alien but better than aliens with more to think about. Might rate this higher with second viewing in 2D. 3D is not up to scratch.

Completely different films really. I enjoy both for different reasons. I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite.

ALIEN is light years better than Aliens IMO
I'd much rather an intelligent sci fi thriller than James Camerons sci-fi action flick.

I hate the Cameron with all my might, and I'm Canadian too.
but Aliens was a pretty decent flick

Straw Dogs (remake) - 3/10; not worth your time.

Having said that, the pay-off for a certain item is totally worth it.
