Bug

I saw this today, dragging my family along as I believed all the hype: "It'll scare the sh*t out of you!", Roger Ebert's great review, and that it was directed by the man who directed the Exorcist. I was looking foward to a classic.

Wow, what a disapointment. We all hated it. It's not a horror movie ( as I was lead to believe ) and never scary at all. It's really just a look into a woman's spiral into madness caused by an interesting stranger and her loneliness.

Avoid unless you are desperate to see a film or just want to see Ashley Judd gratuituously naked

Have you ever imagined a world with no hypothetical situations?

I had a feeling this thing wasn't going to be all that great. I mean, when you open up a movie against Pirates, Shrek in it's 2nd week and Spidey in it's 3rd the studio obviously is not expecting it to make a lot of money. It was the only other new movie this week...

Ashley Judd naked is well-worth a rental any day, on the otherhand.

I read about this movie just the other day. Apparently studio marketing suits wanted to sell this as something it isn't, which sucks royally for anyone that got hosed. But Friedkin is a rather phenomenal director, and since I do know the story of the film I will see it.
