Statue Value Post Bankruptcy

So I'm about two years into the hobby and have not experienced what happens to the value of a statue when a company goes bankrupt. On one hand, maybe they will go up because they are not being made anymore, but what I'm afraid of is that they will lose their value because people who followed ARH will move to follow another company.

What's the opinions of some of the old heads here? Are my ARH statues going to become gold mines or should I be dumping them while ARH is still brain dead and on life support?

I would think it would go up, but that is purely speculation.

A Cimmerian
I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Research Bowen statues and see what you come up with.

Seriously dude, this is just sad .... Move on.

And the actual answer is it's completely irrelevant.
Each statues eBay price will rise and fall solely on its own merit.
Simplistic statues you bought solely "because boobs!" aren't likely to fund your retirement.
Epic sought after pieces will continue to command high prices regardless of whether or not ARH take over the statue world or disappear from it.

Why would you sell them? This isn't a retirement plan, sell the ones you no longer enjoy and keep the ones you like.

I consider it a success if I can keep a statue on display for months or years and then sell it for close to what I paid, not many hobbies can do that. Even better if I make a profit.

Also, just like any collectible.. it is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it.

Since the ES is so low on most of ARH statues, anyone collecting a certain theme could easily still pay top dollar even when a company goes under. You aren't investing in the company, just the art that was created.

Lol...associating the company to the potential value of a statue is pure nonsense.
