Cool detail the K Bros pointed out on twitter is that his lightsaber is half his half Savages.

Awesome detail ....WHOAH!

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Just to show how overpriced this is....Tweeterhead has their Hordak maquette for $135 less (also 1/5 albeit from a less popular license). Heck Skeletor from Sideshow was priced the same 3 years ago.

I'm very tempted to jump into this new mythos line. Would it be safe to assume that we will get Kylo Ren and another Vader? If so, I'm all in

I wouldn’t hold your breath on a Kylo Ren.

I mean it depends...there's other factors to this...

Sideshows overheads will be much more than Tweeterheads. Sideshow probably pay more to sculptors, designers, concept artists etc...

The Star Wars license is probably a lot more then the MOTU license.

Sideshow no doubt will need a bigger profit per unit to make the project worthwhile to them...

I'm sure there's other factors too...

Not defending Sideshow and they probably do jack up the price more than others but i think there's more to it than "these are both 1/5 pieces, look at the price difference"

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

Museum pose with two feet on the base is always cheaper.

I agree. But if you go by sculpt detail and size (two factors collectors care most about) then there is no doubt that Maul is overpriced.

Sideshow's overhead while certainly a factor is not something I care about as a collector. Sideshow needing a bigger profit per unit is the same. Sideshow's Maul will no doubt have a bigger edition size so they can spread out some of that cost right there.

Again I agree with you that there are more factors other than just scale but I still don't see Maul worth an extra $130-150 (even more when you factor in shipping, since Hordak will ship for free if you buy from Tweeterhead).
