I like the concept, gargoyle and cape outlining the body.......but never cared for it either. Too "blah".

I'm trying to determine if these Bowen statues were the first ever DC statues or if there were others pre-1991 Sandman.
I must say, it's really interesting what some archaeology yields!

Interesting indeed. One of my best friends had those Sandman statues.

I think those were the first ones. I have those Sandman statues (+ Death which was missing from the list). Although I have only mini version of the bookends. On the bright side both Death and Arabian nights are signed By Gaiman.
All those are wonderfull pieces. I like those even more than current more detailed pieces.

I really like it but with many early Bowen statues there’s a definite “money” shot where, depending on the angle of your view, it either looks stunning or awkward. Same is true for his Superman, first Captain America, first Thor and first Thing FS statues, among others.

Threads that haven't had activity in a while become hidden for some reason in this section. I was searching for information on the Bronze Batman, and Google was able to link to this thread.
Btw, things might be different for you because you're a mod, but as time passes, I see fewer and fewer threads in this section.
