Kenny Rogers RIP

I remember as a kid my parents would always listen to Kenny Rogers... The Gambler was always one of my favorite songs from back then...

He always seem like a great guy... he'll be missed...

Never liked his music but he married that super hot chick from that goofy Hee Haw show, so, much respect to the man.

I actually thought he was older than 81. RIP. Guess it was time to walk way.

Though I was never a huge fan, I grew up in the era where there was just AM and FM radio so his songs were crossed over from Country to to Top 40. Have not thought of one of his songs in decades but now they are coming back to me and I am surprised I still know all the words. Though I did like his duets with Dolly Parton. (Islands in the streAm....that is what we are.......)

RIP Kenny

My late grandmother loved Kenny Rogers, Johnny Cash, and The Oak Bridge Boys. Rest In Peace.

The Gambler.

You Picked a Fine Time to Leave Me Lucille was the first Kenny Rogers song I remember. My friend used to sing the lyrics as, "400 children and a crop in the field" instead of the correct lyrics, "Four hungry children and a crop in the field". It was a good laugh because we were young and he thought that was actually the lyrics!

Anyway, RIP Kenny, we're all right behind you at various different speeds...
