Borrow money from a pessimist, they don't expect it back.

Thanks alot for this. I figured it was just any stand, but I wanted to be sure

I hope so. Don't wanna see another EFX like delay!

Naaa Hasbro delivers for sure. EFX is a garbage company. I don't care that "when they make things" they are nice. They don't keep up with industry/collector demands and take two + years to make one helmet...

True enough. The delays for my shield and the Wedge Antilles helmet (I really regret not getting the Luke but oh well) were hair pulling. BBTS has changed date to September for the Marvel Legends metal shield so I guess we'll see. Praying I can get it when the Blu-Ray for Civil War comes out.

I wouldn't stress it at all. It will be a great addition to anyone's Cap/Marvel collection.

Just came in! Some initial thoughts:

- The Marvel Legends shield is quite thin. I'd say it's about 1/8th the thickness of the EFX. Probably to make it more portable and likely more to save money on manufacturing.
- It's metal. Feels like stainless steel. Nice sound when you tap on it.
- Decent weight. Not really heavy but not too light.
- Blue paint looks almost teal in person though in photographs looks the right dark blue in same lighting (florescent and yellow bulb). Paint job is decent quality on mine. I've heard some people found nicks.
- Straps are nice looking with the 75th logo stitched in. Thinner than EFX IMO.

All in all, I'm satisfied. Probably something I can bring to a Con or Halloween party if I don't want to lug my $600 EFX one.

How well would you say it works as a display piece compared to the EFX shield?

I think it would look gorgeous on a wallpiece. As long as they don't see how thin it is.

That does look nice. Love that it has the grooves in the star as well. May have to pick one up.
