If it happens to a few, you should bet it will happen to all eventually. It's a design flaw, probably too hollow to save a few cents on polystone.

So out of curiosity, I flipped mine over and sure enough there was a small bubble forming in the center. Just feel around where the word 'scale' is and you can feel a hole underneath the plastic covering. To fix it all you have to do is lance it with an exacto knife. When I did this you could hear air escaping and it smelled just like cheap resin. Press down to get rid of all gas. The slit made by the blade is so thin it is unnoticeable.

Thx for the tip, there definitely was some air, didn't help too much though, my base is permanently swollen.
This thing cost me $1350 and the quality is so poor

I would try a gentle sweep of a hot air gun to see if it could be softened enough to press flat.

Man really wanted to try to pick this up on secondary market. Guess this ones a bust, but maybe you can just build a whole new base for it.

Repaired my concave base...

The top and bottom were caving in. The vinyl sticker on the bottom was sucking in where there is a coin sized hole in the hollow base.

I am certain the vinyl sticker was applied while the resin was still warm. it sealed the hole and as the air inside cooled, it created a vacuum that over time sucked the base in.

1. Warm and peel bottom sticker
2. drill two additional holes.
3. warm inside of base with heat gun
4. make an expanding tool from a bolt and wall anchor.
5. warm and expand, repeating the process slowly a little at a time.
6. allow to cool and degas for a few days
7. fill with high density expanding foam
8. allow to degas for weeks.
9. re apply sticker.

also re worked the scabbard.
Not sure why companies are using real fur these days when there are better synthetics available. Not to mention the Japanese rabbit fur trade skins the rabbit alive. Couldn't look at it any longer. Plus it is incredibly inaccurate.
I added the proper upper part, wrapped the metal parts with foil tape since it is quite bright in the film and re covered with synthetic fur.
It turned out pretty good.

Ah fun ain't it?

It really can be fun but I'm sure this wasn't what you were envisioning when you placed the order.
