Ehren and Troy.... Guys you need to switch to digital ASAP. This is the future, and I just love you guys too much not to work with you, so please tell me that you guys are also going this direction!!!

Really? I understand your excitement, but those comments seems a little harsh.......

while there will always be a place for tradtionaly stuff but he is right, things move forward look at movies and how CGI has taken over from props more often then not, and how hand drawn animation has long since died out.

The future? It seemed like Bowen Designs got lackluster responses from fans with there "digital pieces". All the "CGI" sneak pieces in the Bowen Designs sections are horrid.

i've enjoyed quite a few of the bowen CGI statues, but even still any new process isn't going to be flawless out of the gate, but it's still something worth investing time in as the potential for it is quite impressive

I agree, I really like the Mephisto one !
And Anubis looks just as good, if not even better !

I do not think that digital techniques will ever completely replace traditional ones. I think digital techniques are best for when perfect lines, curves and symmetrical applications are needed (such as Iron Man's armor). I'm not certain if how many hybrid approaches are used (using digitally printed elements along with traditional techniques).
Definitely getting "organic" look and feel with digital techniques requires skilled and practiced artists.
I think this Anubis looks great. But we need some close-up detail photographs so we can see all the texture and designs in the digital print.
