Who’s Your Superman?
I may be on an island on this, but my favorite television/film actor portraying Superman is Henry Cavill. I thoroughly enjoyed Zach Snyder and Cavill’s representation of a near all-powerful, alien being confronted with his place in a world he would have the power to rule if so desired. The power to protect, save or not save. I want internal conflict in my ideal representation of Superman.

Chis Reeve for me! I like HEROES. I want my Superman to save & protect those he CAN save & protect. He should never just let someone die (especially not his Pa). The internal conflict should be about wanting to, but not being able to save everyone. He should never be unwilling to protect anyone. What kind of hero is that?

Clark allowing Jonathan to die in “Man of Steel” did not sit well with me either. My point about “to save or not save” is, to your point, more to how would Superman internalize his ability to decide who lives or dies - his abilities are vast, but being everywhere at once is not one of them.

Reeve was awesome for his time but unfortunately the original superman movie doesn't hold up very well over time plus as I got older there were a lot of cheesy moments in the movie which as a kid I didn't notice
IMO Man of Steel is the best Superman movie to date... It actually showed him as a person with some flaws and not a perfect god like some fans want to see him as. Unfortunately Snider ruined the character in the follow up movies BvS and Justice League..

No way. Man of Steel had no heart, part Kent was terrible and the mindless destruction was worthless.
Superman the Movie totally holds up. The helicopter scene is one of the best, no lame CGI, just smart movie making.
Reeve made me believe a man could fly, Cavil just depressed me.
