I am ok with tweaks if the tweaks aren't significant. On these close up pics, while the ribbing is noticeable, my feeling is that at a normal viewing distance, one will hardly notice it.

I'm not a fan of that property- but even I think the P1 '89 Barman looks sensationally awesome.
If I were a fan, that would not only be a sufficient alternative to me, it would be my all around preferred choice - taking into account design of the base and total cost.
I doubt there would be much at all to be gained by having the mouth and part of the jaw made of silicone. Or that JND would be any more exactingly faithful to the costume.
Even the base would be less visually interesting.

I took the texture as artistic license so the clothing doesn't come across as being too "flat".

It does add some texture which will look good in hand

You have to think they will do 89 batman, that's a money maker as well. They're are multiple bale statues out there but that didn't stop JND from doing another

Teaser had even more of the body and base. All looks great to me. NOW we wait for the headsculpt though. If they nail it, this will be a grail (albeit an expensive one).
