The details in the body I thing it was an excess of paint coating, when you touch it it feels kinda like vinyl some times. Looks thinner than Perot one, but man it{s so very well done.

Here we go, I found the thread - http://www.statueforum.com/showthread.php?p=5845432
The guys explains it pretty well, so not made for the TLW but used for it in the end. I'm not sure about Green lighting the movie, I've read previously that movie went to a bidding war between studios after Chrichtons book. But then again I dont know how the process works

Here are some more images I took the other day.
This thing is huge and really a sight to behold!
The paintjob is true to the original maquette including pink tones on the belly. The glass eyes follow you around.
I love the static pose the way a maquette should represent the character. The base is simple yet very effective as rexy is the centerpiece of this satue. Truly outstanding!
Feels like watching the film for the very first time. In awe!

I bought it (should get it next week). I skimmed thru this thread again but didn't find a concrete answer - what's the source for the scan? 1:5 from Chronicle/thx? Perot museum maquette? It's not the Horizon Rex.
I mean I def think they scanned a spare CC 1:5 piece and posed it in Zbrush, but I'm interested to know if the company confirmed the source.

ECC just listed the anatomical version of their T.rex statue. It too is in 1/12th scale. The statue have a MSRP of $1,280.00 USD. Not exactly my cup of tea, but some collectors might find this to be of interest.
