I have never to be one that believed in the old saying "He who dies with the most toys wins!"
I buy statues that appeal to me and I don't plan on reselling. I am also happy with one of something and don't need every version created of a character. I also don't try to "keep up with the Joneses" and have to have the newest and first of something.
I also know my finances and space is limited so I have to prioritize my discretionary spending to just what I can afford after family needs are met.
As Dirty Harry said in 1973 in Magnum Force "a man has to know his limitations!"

Just get a feeling that they are trying to get in front of some kind of big announcement from the competition at sdcc.
