I hope you realize that means nothing. Both companies are looking at the future. Investment if you will. What it may seem unprofitable now, it may be a strategic move for the long run. Some years back no one would have though this possible. Marvel getting all of its properties back under one single banner. In fact, no one would have thought that Disney would be the one taking care of the bill, but here we are.

At this point are you really going to doubt Disney can do it? The fact that they're having negotiations shows that there's obviously something to talk about. Sure, they'll probably need to make some concessions on certain characters to get it done, but if anyone can do it, it's Disney.

Nothing's done until done. Prospective hopefulness sometimes just sets up people for disappointment.
