I think the black base stands out even more, unless you are going to display her in a cabinet with dark finish. Even then, the gun metal base will be less noticeable. So, I don't get the point.

The silver/grey metal base is more neutral. I wouldn't change it.

personally i wouldnt either, i really like the contrast it adds and as dechirico7 already mentioned adds some much needed harmony to the recent x-men pieces

A black painted base could make it look as if she's coming out from space or a pile is ashes.
The silver makes her look like a Danger Room simulation.
Either way, the focus will go straight to her. I think her face is still lacking the evil and power it did before. I will see if other pics help. I was also hoping her suit wasn't red red.

Is this the comicshop in Fredrick md? Looks the same. If do I've been there a few times and bought my very first statue from them which was she hulk pf. The great memories of how all this started my collecting was priceless.

I have black Bestas, If the paint done right in black, with led lighting blends in with the shelving, so it will look more like she is coming straight out of flames. its good that its not the full base, so either way its not very noticeable. The gun metal base will show out a little more with the background, it may look fine but I wanted a look that blended more. Right now the base is just there, but again I would be fine with that also. Im sure I wont be the only one that does it.

I continue to be disappointed by the shade of red chosen for this. The proto was perfect in that regard.
