But I will say this, I'm going to be sticking with Netflix. Disney would have make a very strong adult line-up that is NOT all superheroes to make me stay.

Shame that Netflix will lose all of the Fox/FX shows they carry.

Speaking of streaming services, with this buyout, Disney will have a controlling interest in Hulu, which in and of itself is very significant. They can veer the adult line-ups to Hulu if they so wish.

hugh is the man, his height never bothered me he WAS the wolverine

that said, i need a wolverine in the cinematic universe and he has retired the role - its time for a new canucklehead with a proper costume

I agree, that's why I had to preface the post with no disrespect. I think Hugh carried that torch extremely well all these years even though I found the movies a bit lackluster.

What I really want is a Silver Surfer stand alone. They make the story of Norrin Radd into a feature film and I could die a happy man!

AWESOME to hear it's finally official! WIN WIN for the MCU!!

PROS:
1.) Reboot of Fantastic 4
2.) Reboot of X-Men and Wolverine
3.) Crossovers with Avengers
4.) Kibosh on 'horror' The New Mutant sequels.

CONS:
1.) Deadpool: Will future sequels get the Rated R approval?
2.) ALIEN: Will the Aliens be kinder, gentler, less acidic?
3.) Simpsons: Will they mingle with Mickey?

Since it will take 12-18 months for approval by the government, I seriously doubt they can produce anything NEW in that duration, especially since it's takes that much time just to develop a script, much less pre-production.

Netflix will be just fine. They acquired Millarworld so they've got their superhero fix in place.

I'm not convinced that is the way they will go. They might keep a mutual deal where Netflix properties and Disney own brand is interchangeable.

Netflix will want to keep the Disney films and Marvel series and may just let Disney promote DD and Punisher on both sites.

So, should I be more afraid of Disney or Amazon to becoming my Overlord?
