I read the first four issues. I liked the premise--big bad Russian god kills off lesser gods to gain worship of the peope. It was very mythic...very epic; not traditional super-hero at all. My biggest complaint, and the reason I dropped it, was that the--for a book based on conflict and battles--most of the real action took place off-panel. The quality that made it unique (epic and mythic) started to overwhelm my enjoyment of it as a comic book.

I liked the art--but it's a bit wild and somewhat impressionistic at times. That too led to the action feeling undefined.

It's a quality book. It just depends on what you're looking for.

After seeing the few excellent giclées out and about I downloaded a few issues for testing purpose, not started on em yet, but from what I've seen so far I have to agree with feste on the art, not sure I'm up for the style.
