Just bought Samurai 7

The complete set was at best buy for 80 bucks.

I'm excitd, as I saw a few episodes and loved it, but wanted to see it all at once.

Any fans here?

It's not too shabby for an anime.
The 7 samurais are from the actual Japanese history and there're numorous shows plus a super classic movie about them.
And it's actually cool to see how they handle this whole series.

But still, gotta say it's more for America anime fans than real anime otakus...

I've seen the first couple discs and was pretty happy with those but I've yet to check out the rest of the series

It's a great series. I watched it up to about disc 4, but then lost track of the release dates. Now that it's out in a box set, I will have to pick it up. If you like this, you should also check out basilisk.

I tried getting into this series but it didn't do anything for me. Pacing perhaps. I rented Balisk and found it more entertaining.

Okay I know another one that you guys might like, Karas that is!
They already put out the third part of this movie in Japan but we still only have the first part, very good nontheless.

It's very well made and also inspired a recent live action show in Japan named Garo-The Makai Kenshi, awesome stuff.
