New Corvette C8 Mid Engine

What do you guys think of the back? I'm not really liking it from the leaked pic. I have to agree with most criticism that it's Camorish and too busy. The C7 rear never grew on me either although the rest of that car is beautiful.



Here's a really blurry pic of the front/side view, it's hard to make out the details but it looks good from what I can see.

They've been heading that way for a while, which I don't mind it being the "middle class Ferrari" lol.

I guess many others and myself just wish they would differentiate from the styling cues of the "brand" which you can see similarities in the Camaro and Cruze because imo it looks like a mess. The C7 had the same criticism with the back, it really seems like they struggle to get it looking good. I have a C6 ZO6 and I wouldn't say the back is beautiful or a masterpiece by any means but I think if flows much better with the rest of the car.

I guess if the rest looks amazing and knowing the performance will be great for the price(guessing around 500 hp, starting around $60,000) it'll still sell very well regardless if a majority dislike the rear of the car lol.

It's unlikely they'll change it, that's almost unheard of but they did change the Camaro front end from backlash.

I don't even think it has to have round tail lights, though that'd definitely make it feel more Corvette and round can look great with sharp lines...

Gotta say if it's real the front looks really sleek and mean but the back it still very meh imo.

I just had a look at that YouTube video that you just put up here.

I actually like the new design, I think it looks great overall and the rear end reminds me of a F22 Raptor fighter plane! that's the first thing I thought of when I saw those tail lights

Yeah, I guess to me the back of the C7 and C8 just don't match the beauty of the rest of the car. I know it's no supercar or exotic but neither were the C2 and early C3's but they were/are beautiful from behind too.
