Paint Repair Tweeterhead Batman

Hey all:

I have a 1966 Tweeterhead Batman that got the top of his cowl rubbed by something (I think a cleaning crew's vacuum hose, but I'm guessing) and there is a section where the paint is missing (see pic). There is no actual damage to the sculpture, so that's good.

Chad from Tweeterhead has been trying to help, but I think it's going to come down to me causing the repair to happen myself. Does anyone know the best way to fix this; paint type, application, exact color matching? Additionally, I'm willing to send the Bat out to someone to do the repaint for me. I live in West Los Angeles and work in Santa Clarita, so anywhere in and around those areas.

Thanks for the help. Happy to have found this forum.

You should definitely seal it, before you put paint on it, just in case, you screw it up or choose the wrong color.

In the series his cowl had a shiny blue with some purple to it, but
in picture, it looks more like regular glossy blue to me.

Keep in mind, I´m not a professional, so you might wanna hear other opinions as well, before you start painting.

I had similiar problems with TH Catwoman and found it harder to repaint cold cast porcelain than other statues.

ps. there are painting videos for the moebius 1966 Batman model kit on youtube, maybe you will get this way some ideas by watching them.
