I know exactly what you mean. My wife is done with the serie, but for me it's still enjoyable in this way.

Better Call Saul S1 8/10
Stranger Things 9/10

Finally finished the last season of Arrow 5/10. Almost watched it because I felt obligated to, I did not enjoy it compared to the other seasons though.

Finished Stranger Things. 8/10.
Fantastic series that brought together images of IT, ET, and Poltergeist in a gritty version of the childrens Goosebumps. Hope they can come up with a new season.

The Venture Bros. - Season 3

The Blu-ray release is wonderfully uncensored. I also really like that the season has an overaching plot. 10/10

Preacher S1 - 6/10

Preacher is what I consider to be one of the most original comic book experiences I've had in my 30 years of reading. So when this long talked about series finally made it's way to television I was extremely excited as I never felt a film could do the material justice. Sadly I'm not sure the producer's decision to start the narrative before the events of the comic paid off. S1 is essentially a prequel and while it does capture some of the elements of the comic quite well it meanders far too often and struggles to keep the viewer engaged. My hopes is with S2 they follow the source material closely now that they're essentially on track with where the original narrative starts. If so this series has the potential to pack a serious punch as it takes you to some unbelievably brutal and insanely bizarre events.

Outcast S1 - 7.5/10

A bit of a slow burn but this demonic possession series from Robert Kirkman the creator of The Walking Dead is genuinely creepy at times. Production value is high and the narrative is interesting taking the viewer to some really dark places by season's end. High points for me are the score and excellent atmosphere. The season ends with a bang and ensured I'll be around to see where they take things in S2.

This is what I'm hoping for as well. I enjoyed the first season in parts, but not as a whole. The things I really liked tell me that the potential is there for them to knock it out of the park once they decide to stick closer to the comic. Let's see what S2 brings.
