Pereira. Painted by Kenny Alasandro.

Is yours the one on his instagram?

nvm... I see he did several. Looks perfect. I'm jealous, you can appreciate yours. I keep looking longingly at the two boxes...

Really not a fan of the Bushi.

It's a big piece... I imagine a lot of work (I'm no painter).

I think it's a shame that there is a hulk statue released every month and a Thor statue released every six weeks and in decades we've only even seen two serious representations of Kallark in full statue form - he is such an important part of the extended X-Men Universe. RisingPhoenix are you listening? Have I flogged it hard enough?
There are two more on the way. One on throne (which I think is only in the black costume version). And one sort of standing/raging.... in both black and blue/red.

Yeah, and supposedly a pain in the a$$ to get the head+cape to seat securely.

Not to crap on fans of it...but it's case-in-point on why I'm vocal about my preferred art direction. That one does everything almost exactly opposite of what I want.

On mine the cape and upper body are attached as one piece. the heads are separate of course, as is the small rope that goes in front of his collar.

Yeah, I watched a vid a while back about having to insert pins and attach it that way. Probably the best way.

Oversaturation of the same characters is the no. 1 killer of this hobby - both pricewise and in terms of excitement. New characters may not be such a bad idea.
I get that people have their favorite characters that don't get the attention of the popular ones. I love Terence Stamp's General Zod, but no companies are making statues of him so I have to go the custom route.

There are easily a couple dozen X-Men characters I can think of off the top of my head that would sell better than Gladiator at 1/3 scale. I'd love to see someone make a statue of him, but I don't see him selling well at any scale larger than 1/4. In terms of his popularity with the general public, it's non-existent. He hasn't been in any tv shows or movies so he's only on the radar of comic book readers. Cool sculpts only go so far attracting sales when you're talking about a $1500-2000 price tag.

Doesn't mean there won't be statues made of him, but I would suspect most companies would go for the easy sales and quick money of X-Men bread and butter characters--especially at 1/3 scale. Gladiator would have to be waaaay down the line if it happens at all.
