I guess it's time to start asking for a bigger percentage in raise this year for some..LOL!

"Dammit sir! I need money for statues!"
I think you're right and I think there's a little Tyrone Biggums in most collectors. I think people will do what they have to to rationalize paying the rising prices, but I also think there'll be a point where even payment plans won't make sense for a lot of us. You already have people bowing out...unless prices somehow plateau I think you'll see more as the years pass.

There are a few super rich collectors who don't care about price and will buy whatever at any price, but how long will this hobby hold their interest until they get bored and move on to something else? The industry can't depend on just the super rich geeks, so something will have to be done soon.

That sums it up pretty well.

The fact that companies have begun prefacing PO reveals with warnings/reasons/excuses for high prices I think just says it all. It is what it is, but mind you, then don't be surprised when I nitpick the ---- out of a statue. And I am 100% in my right with these prices.

I have to assume Apocalypse must have sold well, and now XM believes 1500 is the new normal. Which is funny, when that’s the same price as P1 1/3rd pieces. I will probably still buy Magneto, because I want a 1/4 Magneto, but this will be a dangerous trend for XM. I don’t know how small of a portion of sales the people who purchase XM from third party sites are, but they will start to drop off if this continues.
I mean XM’s Legendary Beast Magneto which is 1/3rd is ~1500 for the standard and ~1700 for the premiere. I doubt any of us complaining about the price will have an affect, but if they see enough of their sales drop off that might grab their attention.

The 1/4 Magneto has got to be less than $1,500. There's no way they'd make it nearly the same price as the 1/3 version. At least I hope so.

One thing is for sure, if XM tries to charge twice the price of Sideshow’s Carnage upon XM’s Carnage reveal, I’ll opt for Sideshows piece.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

I'm mainly a 1/6 collector and I've always noticed how XM's pieces are generally more expensive than other companies in the same scale.
Prices are increasing across the board I get that, that's just reality. That's why I've become very picky with a lot of pieces. I also tried to get into Iron Studios 1/10s (I have a few) and even in that scale prices are rapidly skyrocketing. I guess I just have to accept that I'm gonna get priced out of this hobby soon.
