There's that damn hole in her chest to support the cape. That's a definite no go for me. I only would've displayed her without it.

I’m hoping, like Thor, the X is separate and can be plugged into her corset without the cape.

It looks like its connected to the cape, if you hated it that much could cut the fabric off im sure. Or make a substitute that would key in like it. Pause the video at 0:13 can see its one piece on the table.

Doubt the cape and pin are connected, more than likely just a pin hole through which the pin goes, then into the chest. Would be more effort than its worth to connect pin and cape.

This is my guess too. Even if the X pin is glued to the cape (I mean how else would it be?) you should be able to just release the pin with heat.
Blast the cheap cape with a hair dryer and voila - I bet you have a nice little X logo without the cape.

Same, it likely will sit like this til friday. Lately takes a 3 days for it to actually go out.
