This time this beauty arrived in perfect condition, and I think the packaging may have been a little thicker but I'm not certain. In any case the legs were solid with no cracks

Happy I took a leap of faith and reordered this piece. It's the perfect rendition of Catwoman for me personally
What cabinets are you using? I need some this big to display my 1/3 pieces .

Pretty sure they’re IKEA’s PAX Wardrobes.

They're the Ikea PAX Cabinets with custom plexiglass doors. I followed this excellent DIY to build the cabinets with reinforced metal brackets on the shelves to support well >60lbs:

http://www.sideshowcollectors.com/fo...-finished.html

The lighting and plexiglass doors really finish off the presentation IMO.

This is what is so awesome about forums. Good thing I read upon all the issues with this piece. I'll have to conduct a super inspection as I may be buying one shortly... Lots of peeps received damaged ones, it seems.

In case you're curious I got my AK CW this week from Sideshow with no issues. (no leg issues either) The ones they have in stock are from a second batch according to SS. I will say this whoever decided on the packing for this piece needs to resign or be fired. There's no styrofoam at all protecting the box, not even corner pieces. What they did was put some cardboard bars around the top and bottom edges of the brown shipper. For all I know that could be SS taking the extra steps. I really have no idea how it made it here in one piece. Definitely a shocker if you're used to getting P1 pieces and know how they're normally packed.

That type of packaging with the cardboard on the edges is identical to how the ‘first’ batch was sent out. So it’s possible nothing has changed between batches.

I wonder if the first batches cargo container got dropped or something. Her bootline was the first thing I looked at nervously when I unwrapped her.
