Favorite Book Read in 2019?

What’s your favorite book that you read in 2019?

Mine was “The Five,” by Hallie Rubenhold, an absolutely fascinating book about the women murdered by Jack The Ripper. Urban myth is that they all were prostitutes which is untrue of four out of the five. Like the movie Titanic, you know how each story ends, in the same ally and same brutal death. But it’s each story, that needed to be told to dispel the misogynist urban myth, leading up to that end that’s riveting.

Close second is “Born A Crime” by Trevor Noah, about his growing up under Apartheid in South Africa and a love letter to his mother. And excellent read!
