My son started collecting these a couple of years ago. First, he started collecting only Fantastic Four related figures to display, and then he wanted the same figures that I had statues of. Now he has over 500 figures! Now that he is learning to count (he’s only 5 years old), I purchased a starter set and we play a game at least once a week. He enjoys going to heroclix tournaments every week at a LCS and meeting other people who also enjoy talking about comic book characters.

It doesn’t cost much to start playing; a starter set that includes everything you need to play is only $15. Also, on eBay you can find many good deals on large lots.

That sounds so cool to do that for your son. I'm sure he has a blast!

The Sentinel figure looks really good. My son saw it in the store a few weeks ago and wanted it. I was planning to buy it for him for Easter, however, since he saw the pictures of FIN FANG FOOM that is all he's being talking about.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

I used to play it once or twice a month in LCS tournaments, and it was a lot of fun until it got too involved with the combination of cards and "mission" type scenarios and such, like CompEng1 said.

It's also pretty expensive to maintain, unless you go the ebay route. The biggest problem I had (which I dont blame Wizkids for doing, since it makes good business sense), is that the new figures just got better and better, making the older ones obsolete. Makes you keep buying, and at 6-8 bucks a booster, it takes a toll.

Couldn't afford to keep going and keep reading comics, so comics prevailed. Fun game though.

I went to our LCS today and I saw the Sentinel/Wolverine/Hound packs today!! They look awesome, but a little too expensive here. Hopefully I'll find it cheaper at a con this summer!!
