You laugh, but I did pick this one up last week on a whim, and truth be told, I'm rather fond of it now... so there!
It pairs up well with Big Barda in scale. Despite what others have said about the line being all over the place, I think that's what made it interesting (with certain exceptions... :::cough::: Brainiac :::cough::: ). They did more provocative, and, yes, more outlandish takes on characters and that's what hooked me in the beginning. Koto's Bishoujo line was always more costume accurate and a bit "cuter', but I think the Ame-Comi line was definitely more original and inventive. Just added a Steampunk Batgirl. The few that I have no interest in are Harley(s), Black Canary (did pick up a White Canary variant earlier in the run), Mera, Poison Ivy, Duella and of course Brainiac. Plus, Koto seems to be getting lamer and more conservative... Squirrel Girl? Really?
I'm taking a wait and see attitude on upcoming Joelle Jones pieces, especially Wonder Woman.
