Funny you should say that because I do the same thing and was thinking how much I enjoy them just this morning when I watched the most recent episode. I love the music and it's fun seeing the map and how all the kingdoms and key locations are laid out. Everything about this series is so well put together. It really is in a class by itself.

Yeah it's funny she has gotten a lot of hate on the books forums for years. They toned her character down a bit to make her a bit more likable for tv, but it doesn't seem to have worked.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Most of the characters have British or Irish accents, but given that this is a fantasy land, they could sound like anything. Would it throw you out of the moment if someone piped up with a Texas drawl, or a French accent?

Awesome Ending.

I actually like Ed's wife; she's turned out to be a very strong character. What more would you expect from a wife/mother who's trying to protect her family.

Looks like the next episode will have a lot of action.

Just watched this episode for the second time.

Things I liked

1) Sam! They managed to capture the character well. It's hard to make a self confessed coward likable but I think they did a great job with him.

2) The ending. Great scene, even though it is one of my favorite characters coming out on the losing end of it. It was great to see Cat being smart and reminding all the people of their houses loyalties, and stroking egos before asking them to draw sword on the brother of the Queen and son of one of the richest and most powerful families in the land.

3) Dany standing up to her brother again. "The next time you raise your hand to me will be the last time you have hands."

Things I didn't like

1) Not enough of the tournament…and what were there like 15 extras there in attendance? They said the city was swelling with people for it and it looked like a backyard cookout. Hopefully there will be more from it next week, some other cool stuff happens.

***semi book SPOILER***
2) They have changed who said what a few times and it was worked to streamline things, but this time it was too much. It was The Hound himself who told Sansa about how he got his burns and it was a great scene, and character developing. I'm worried they are going to leave this guy lurking in the background like Boba Fett.

Damn! Episode 5 was great. Plenty of action and some great dialogue.

Things I liked

1) The Hound narrowly missing getting his head cut of by his brother by quickly kneeling before the king.

2) The king and queens discussion. Just a great talk about the trainwreck that is their marriage. Plus it illustrates why they can't just hide in their castles if there is an invasion. It should hopefully quiet some internet warfare experts

3) The Imp and Cats storyline was fantastic, great scene with the mountain men attacking them. Cats sister is truly bat$@*% crazy.

The only thing I didn't like

1) Renly not liking the sight of blood and not being seen taking part in the tourney. Though not as bloodthirsty as his brothers he never struck me as soft. At least in the end he voted to kill a young girl and her unborn child...doesn't seem like something someone queasy would do. Maybe he just puts on a show in public.
