Thanks. I have a few magnets here and there that are a little weak, so I might try a small amount of putty to secure the parts.
What about when you want to remove the parts - does the putty mean you have to use inordinate force (risking breakage) to, for example, remove an arm from a torso?
And second, would the putty get stuck in the female part of the connection, and if so, how do you remove it?

as always... use your force/power wisely;-) the clay is quite firm.you can easily remote it from openings with a toothpick or something similar. i havent hand any problems so far.

I've never used this stuff. If I have it on the base of a PF on a Billy bookcase, it's really going to hold firm in an earthquake?

I am not sure. In germany we don’t have earthquakes. I am just using it for stabilising parts at the statues.

I would assume it depends on how strong the earthquake is and how close you are to the epicenter.
Because at some point that putty is not going to hold ... especially during a powerful earthquake. I can see the putty working in minor earthquakes and tremors.

Even though Billy is high quality swedish furniture, my bet would be the bookcase goes down with everything on it in an earthquake..

Do you have them reinforced btw? I don't trust mine with more than 1 pf and will replace it asap

Other than having them anchored to the wall, no. I try to keep each shelf under the recommended maximum weight.
