Has anyone had any light bleed issues around the eyes? Upon trying them out I noticed a rather blatant spot right next to the left eye, and when i look at it in the light the paint is definitely off there. Lots of little pin pricks of light come through the paint around both eyes, but its really just that spot next to the left eye that is distracting me. Is it worth contacting sideshow on this? I don't have any other issues with this piece and I certainly don't want to return it for a refund...I love it and plan to display it indefinitely.

Same with mine, I'm thinking they all probably turned out that way. Pics included of the switch, the instructions for it and the "mequette" brown shipper

i'm so glad i jumped on the inferior version with no Hogarth, poorly rendered grass, and a paint job that doesn't resemble anything in the film. but at least i got the Superman 'S' sign.... right?
thanks again to Sh!tshow for .... nothing.

This reminds me of when they did the different paint job on the 2 Versions of Poison Ivy except a worse situation. The difference between the 2 Iron Giants is quite striking.

It was definitely enough for me to go from hating the Iron Giant statue to loving it.

im annoyed at the 10 people the immediately bought this statue just to put it on eBay immediately after receiving it.
Why buy it in the first place? To make $50 after fees?

Exactly. Meanwhile true fans/ collectors who missed out have little chance of a conversion. But that's part of the collecting world sadly.

Yeah dude it sucks. But you're right it is part of it.
I get buying something and years down the road not wanting it and you sell it on eBay for a profit. But I can't wrap my head around buying something and the day it arrives at your home, putting it on eBay. Why not just let the other guys that actually want it to buy it from the beginning? The answer is greed.

I just searched for the cell shaded version of this on Ebay. There are currently 5 maquettes listed. That's a whopping 20% of the total 100 that were made!! I was unfortunate not to get to buy one, as I live in Australia and was asleep when they went up for order! I'm pissed off that some lowlifes are buying them only to sell them the next day to make a profit.
