She comes to us all in her own way.
Early eighties for me going to comic book stores and seeing the fan books like "The Betty Pages" that misspelled her first name, and Rocketeer comics.
The whole "mystery" of what happened to her was still going on then.
This is the best documentary about her.. She had some rough times. She even had no clue she had become a pop culture icon long after her disappearance from the public.

Argh, must be regional thing.
Maybe this one. "Bettie Page Reveals All" is the name of the documentary if you have to do a youtube search...

And as posted somewhere back in this thread, the movie poster should look familiar.

I do agree the face could be more accurate, but this is the problem with trying to get a likeness. The back of the corset is stunning. It is a shame there is not more gold and filigree on the front of this piece.
Also, not sure if it is just me, but the breasts are throwing me off. Were Bettie’s areola almost the exact same color as the rest of her breast? Or is this censorship to allow this statue to be produced?

Is the base really sitting on a heart with a ribbon or was that just a Valentine?s Day ad?

It's part of the statue. The heart is inspired by a classic heart-shaped box of chocolates.
