Choose Your Own Adventure
Anyone remember these? I had a collection of these back in the 80s...they rocked! This site has the covers.

This one was my favorite. The story was really moody...and the illustrations were scary. It was great!

This was my favorite
It didn't get better than this:
Prisoner of the Ant people had an r2d2 ripoff robot, a martian, and a human (you) fighting the evil power master. There was a sequal called at war with the evil power master.
I also read vampire express! good choice, as was abomniable snowman, space vampire

Unreal! I had totally forgotten about these. Now that I look at the other covers I remembered a bunch of em. The Cave of Time, Deadwood City, Mystery of the Maya and Vampire Express I remember those covers the most. I know I read them but I have no recollection of the stories. Way to bring back some memories!

Commodore 64 game?!?
WT--!?! Who knew the first book "Cave of time" was made into a Commodore 64 game?

"Most of you probably remember the old "Choose Your Own Adventure" books. The very first one, "The Cave of Time", was made into a very challenging game for the C64. In this game, you assume the role of the kid who enters into the Cave of Time, with a mission to recover four items stolen by the Time Grouches and return them to their proper places and times. These items are a golden crown, Abraham Lincoln's hat, the Loch Ness Monster's egg, and a piece of flint."
