Speaking of Bond: It was announced a week or so back that Wal-Mart would be carrying 3 of the 9 previously unreleased Bond films as individual exclusives. Rumor was the other 6 would be store exclusives as well and today that was officially confirmed. The breakdown is as follows.....

Walmart Exclusive 10/2 - pre-order all three for $9.98 each
  • Diamonds are Forever
  • Octopu$$y
  • Goldeneye

Best Buy Exclusives 10/2
  • On Her Majesty's Secret Service
  • You Only Live Twice
  • The Spy Who Loved Me

Target Exclusives 10/2
  • A View to a Kill
  • The Living Daylights
  • Tomorrow Never Dies

I have decided to cancel my Bond 50 set now. No need to double-dip on the other titles I already own and worry about unloading them.

I'll be picking up those Bond titles for sure, hopefully all three stores have them for $9.99.

Considering all the existing Bond films can be acquired for well under $10 and the entire catalogue is being re-released in addition to the 9 unreleased titles I'd say we have a good chance at that price point across the board.

That said Best Buy and Target have both been known to jack up the prices of their exclusives just because they can, so I won't hold my breath.

Either way the 9 new/exclusive titles are a day 1 purchase for me as they're high on my most wanted list. Especially Goldeneye, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, The Spy Who Loved Me and The Living Daylights. 4 of my very favorite Bond entries.

Last couple of pick ups for me. Didn't realise Avengers was getting such an early release here so grabbed it today. And our Anniversary edition release of JAWS comes with a very cool little book full of bits of info

I'll be very happy if I can get these all on day 1, will have to see if BB and Target cooperate.

Good stuff there Nick! Can't believe you guys even get the Avengers Blu-Ray early!

That Jaws book looks pretty cool, I don't usually go for those but that's one I'd be down for.

Let me know what you think of Yamato, I wasn't too keen on it, maybe it will fair better on BD.

Thanks Tony . . . I'm hanging out for the Cube / Breif Case set from Amazon but when I saw Avengers at my local today I caved

Yamato was a blind buy and cheap. If it's no good, my brothers kids would probably dig it.

This is a local Aussie release. I did have the US version on pre-order with Amazon but cancelled it when I found this one. Haven't had a good look through yet but there's some pretty cool pics and stuff in there
