Fiberglass is basically glass-reinforced plastic and cheaper to manufacture...This is why "high end" statue companies are switching to fiberglass not because its "stronger" than polystone..its just cheaper and lighter

But whether it is cheaper or not, it is stronger :P And yes it's lighter, because it's hollow. Pound for pound basis, it's not.

OK sweetie..The point of this discussion is how the statue companies are using cheaper materials while dramatically raising the price of their products

Raising prices sucks, but I don't exactly mind using cheaper materials when they are better. And sure fibers cheaper since it's a lot less material, however it's not as easy to use in production. I don't really know the price of production for either but it may not really be cheaper ><
