I'm glad she speaks.

And She wasn't mute mute before new 52 at the begining of her own book, she just didn't know any language other than reading body language 'cause Cain didn't teach her and she also expressed herself by body language but later on she learned english and stuff, and that was cool.

There is this awesome statue:

I have this, and i love it.

There's one from a while ago. She's quite big and heavy. Good deals pop up on eBay from time to time when sellers get tired of having her gather dust on their shelves.

Haha, yeah, that was one of the main comments I saw.

I loved that so much. It was so different from any other character and although she wasn't biologically mute, she didn't speak with her voice (usually she spoke with her fists, hehe). With her special way of processing, reacting, and interacting with the world she was sort of an avatar to many readers with a myriad of disabilities.

Also the Cain dynamic was a different way of showing emotional repercussions from parental abuse/neglect. Most heroes have great parents and suffer a traumatic loss. Or they're stereotypical wastes filled with alcohol, drug, sexual, physical abuse. She had what I liked about Bane's origins, but with a bit more nuance.

Ah, I do remember seeing that one. I collect with gut reactions and for some reason that piece doesn't resonate with me at all (this seems to be the case with most characters I like... I dig Batman, but out of the millions of statues of him, there's none of them I want to own- It's weird, I know). I like the size and heft of it(nearly 10" tall is my jam), but the design and paint... le sigh.

I wish there was a piece something like this:

Especially with a switch out unmasked portrait? I'd be all over it!

P.S. For some reason I thought she had bold sewing designs all over her costume, not just on the facemask? I couldn't seem to find pics of that anywhere online, so did I imagine that?

You might be thinking of the Ame-Comi statue:

If Cassandra Cain's in your Top Ten, I would suggest getting the statue with her standing on a pile of henchmen. It's probably going to be the only durable resin/porcelain statue of her for a long time.

Hmmm... that is interesting. She looks like a mix of Cassie and the Scarecrow. It's wrong, but yet... still kinda pleasing? I'll put this on my maybe list!

I'm thinking it's faulty memory on my part. I probably combined Cassie's costume with the Batman Returns Catwoman costume.

It's actually quite striking in person. Now I just need a Stephanie Brown 1/6-, 1/7-, or 1/8-scale statue.
