Back in Black

Thought I'd have a little fun and list some of the better live-action bada$$es (primarily female) attired in black (or at least mostly). Had to kick some major butt in some capacity in order to qualify... walk the walk and talk the talk. The caliber of the movie/show is irrelevant, just the cool factor.

1.)Kate Beckinsale - Selene – “Underworld”
2.)Rhona Mitra – Major Eden Sinclair – “Doomsday”
3.)Carrie-Anne Moss – Trinity – “The Matrix”
4.)Milla Jovovich – Alice – “Resident Evil: Retribution”
5.)Scarlett Johansson – Black Widow – “The Avengers”/MCU
6.)Charlize Theron – Mary – “Hancock” or Aeon Flux – “Aeon Flux”
7.)Halle Berry – Catwoman/Patience Phillips – “Catwoman”
8.)Uma Thurman – “Emma Peel – “The Avengers” (Movie)
9.)Diana Rigg – Emma Peel - “The Avengers” (TV Series) (especially the “A Touch of Brimstone" (Hellfire Club) episode
10.) Sofia Boutella – Gazelle – “Kingsman: The Secret Service”
11.) Kathy Long – The Stranger – “The Stranger”
12.) Michelle Pfeiffer – Catwoman/Selina Kyle – “Batman Returns” * Credit should also go to stunt double Kathy Long (above)
13.) Chiaki Kuriyama – Go Go Yubari - “Kill Bill, Vol. 1” (okay, a plaid skirt)
14.) Malin Akerman – Silk Spectre II – “Watchmen” (well, it’s mostly black anyway)
15.) Pamela Anderson - Barb Wire - "Barb Wire"
16.) Lisa Ryder- Kay-Em 14 – “Jason X” …. And at least one guy…
17.)Wesley Snipes – Blade – “Blade”

"Had to kick some major butt in some capacity in order to qualify..."

Both Newmar and Kitt fit the black costume (and sexy) motif but were lacking in the kicka$$ area, through no fault of their own. It was the constraints of the show. Yvonne Craig's "Batgirl" was not allowed to be seen punching bad guys... high kicks and bopping them with objects was about all that was allowed. Same applied to the villainesses.

Plus if you think about it, Yvonne Craig's Batgirl was in purple not black.
