$200 way too much.
The most I've pent on them is $100.

The feet have to sit flush with the base or no amount of magnetism will stop fall overs.
On my original the magnets in the feet stick out and don't give a smooth fit with the base.

$200 is way too much. But these shoot up in price when they sell out. And re-releases on Japanese figures are still pretty rare. That's why if you see a Japanese figure you like, you should get it when you can. Also, before you might have to worry about a bootleg version.

Oh I get market price and all but if you're letting the market determine you paying more for something than you would at retail you're shooting yourself in the foot.

I've had a set of the originals since they were released, and while the magnetism is definitely not as strong as I'd like, I still haven't had either fall over. Like the idea of the all metal base instead of the metal piece attached under the plastic. I hope they go this route from now on.

IMO it's only worth shelling more on sold out pieces if a company confirms they won't do re-releases on them anymore or if they say its a limited release with a specific count. Granted I don't like companies doing variants a year or two later using the same sculpt as that feels like a shoddy business practice.

These are little plastic toys for $60.
Need to throw out any notions of exclusivity or added value from secondary market demand.

So these figures are getting a reprint. Under the description on the website, it says "The reproduction version includes a renewed statue base and package design."
Anyone know what "renewed statue base" means?

The base is all metal making for a stronger connection with the magnets.
