PG & E finally got power to my place at 10 am yesterday. 26 hours of no power. I only had to throw out the milk but I lost 3 of my freshwater tetras to the cold in my 60 gallon tank. I have discus and was very suprised that I didn't lose any of them. They're from the Amazon, like the tetras and need warm water of at least 82 degrees.

that sucks man, 26 hours with no power? i know your in DC MK but what part? power's been coming on and off at random times but no more than 3 hours at work and at home... we're supposed to catch a break tomorrow then back to the storm from Tues.-Fri. morning...

Thanks Rick! It's gonna take me at least a week to make up those 2 days but it's great to be up & running again! I might have to invest in a generator for these rare times....

lots of stores are out of D batteries and flashlights. generators have been selling fast at all the HD's here. i think we're getting round 2 of the storm today.

Sounds like a plan. I'm always up for brews (and cues... haha.. I play pool).
My prayers go out to everyone still experiencing heavy storms. It sucks when you hear people are losing their homes, let alone their lives in some cases, due to horrific weather conditions. Hang in there guys..
