The paint application on the guardians is not the best. The weathered effect on the lions is okay but the base looks very flat. The stone look is not A1 like the prototype.

Just received my Thai guardians.
Surprised the edition size is only 250 and has plastic corner protectors.

I'm surprised not everyone ordered these...at 125$ for 2 of these pretty big and really imo must have companion pieces, they compliment and complete the Sagat statue in more than 125$ worths...

Having spent some time with these, I can say that I like them, but I don't love them. The sculpt on the lions is excellent and the bases are also equally impressive. The bottoms of the bases are covered in black felt with 4 small rubber pads. The paint job is very basic with only a single tone and a darker wash tone on top of it. The rusty tone on the guardians is very sloppy and in fact I can see leftover paint bristles stuck into the paint on one of my statues (see photo) as well as rusty drips on the back side of the statue. While maybe accurate for a statue in an outdoor environment, imo it looks sloppy for a high end collectible.
I also noticed a small piece on the right side of the head on both my lion's is broken off. You can see raw polystone from where it was on guardian A, you can see where it was broken off at the factory and painted over on guardian B. I don't mind it missing on the painted version, I wish it wasn't missing on both of them. Not sure if I will contact sideshow, Let it go or fix it myself.
Overall I do like them and given the price I still feel with their flaws they were a good purchase. I just hope Sagat has better quality control.

yeah that does look pretty basic on those pics, still pretty happy with them for price (I think they were actually essentially "free" with the evo set)
