Athena, Vampy, Lara Pics! Side by Side!

Weellllll, I finally got my base back from Arahom today, and now that everything is in perfect condition, I can proudly display her. I took pictures of her next to other company statues so one can get a true representation of just how big and great a statue she truly is! I know some will disagree with me, but not only do I feel she is one of the best female statues I have ever seen, but she is the best female statue in my small female collection (more to come with Lady Death PF and Valkyrie from ARH, and Queen of Vampires).

I raved about how awesome Vampirella and Lara Croft are, but Athena holds top honors next to Thor and Man-Thing in my entire collection thus far! She is that good. Well sculpted, heavy as hell (20lbs), painted very well and that is an easy call for me because there is so much more detail on her.

In addition she is tall, and with her spear in hand, she commands lots of space. She is now in her own spot away from the other statues.

So here she is although I wish I had an adequate place to take better pictures (but they are good enough I think).

Indeed, a very nice statue with all the details. Really love the colors of the leather skirt.
She looks very good next to mr. thor, congrats..

Now that I see her I think the sealed lips doesn't mach with her pose, just way too calm for the charge pose.

Sorry, I think the paint job could be a lot better.

Is this an ''artist proof'' or a production paint job ?

I am looking forward to Valkyrie and I hope the paint job will be better than that.

I take it you are referring to the filagree type lines on her clothes and bracelets and legs. Well, for the most part its fine except for one or two unsteady painted parts on the gold part. But if you are referring to the copper like parts on the gold, that is consistent throughout, so to me I don't have a problem with it.

I haven't seen too many Athenas on these forums so I don't know if that's how its supposed to be painted, or if that was just inconsistency.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

This is what happens when you use flash to take photos. I have the athena as well, the paint job looks fine - on par or better than sideshow. It's just the bad photos...

One thing i can not complain about arh is their paint quality, i got 3 statues so far from them, all painted very well. No lazy eyes, no major spillovers etc..
