Sometimes when I'm playing Halo with four people on the same console, it freezes, but only when we all fire at the same time.
If three of us play, there's no problems! It's so strange.

so is this something i can contact Microsoft about? can it be replaced because of this issue? it's almost becoming unusable!

Yeah, like the original XBOX is crap. Weren't they catching on fire and they had to replace the power cord?
Typical Microsoft. Using customers to test their products. It'll come back and bite them in the a$$ some day.

I want to know, does the xbox360 have to be in it's warranty/guarantee too get it repaired/replaced?
