I can see Wii Fit being one of the better sellers through 2008. A lot of rehabilitation centers and retirement communities already use Wii Sports, and it's generally used to get a decent workout. This is taking the basic concept and expanding on it greatly.
While it might not appeal to many hardcore gamers, it'll find a very nice groove within the mainstream audience it's going for. Nintendo's definitely creating a new genre and it's doing well for them. Video-game fitness appeals to a lot of people 'cause... well, working out is generally boring, but if you can get the same results and have a little fun at the same time...
I'm more interested in how traditional games can make use of the balance board peripheral. Give a new dimension to snowboarding games for example.
It's also a great way to save money if you pay to go the gym to use their treadmills and elliptical bikes.
